I keep on coming back to Cam MacRae’s twitter post about Conway’s Law. It states:
“Any piece of software reflects the organizational structure that produced it.”

And, when a team has 3 managers managing 3 developers, what you have is:
a series of status meetings and a bunch of ‘Yeah. Didn’t you get the memo?‘
